Mala is available for private parties, buyouts and wedding rehearsal dinners as well as birthdays.
Our restaurant sits on the waters edge where we can accommodate up to 78 people.
We can offer special menus designed for your needs.
We offer a full bar and a pretty darn good wine list.
We have plenty of parking.
Next to us we have ten spaces and adjacent to us we have
Thirty parking spaces in two lots.
We also have the pleasure of having the Lahaina Cannery as our landlord where you can use their massive parking lot and take a short walk across the street to us.
We are directly across the street from the Safeway Market at the Lahaina Cannery, right on the water.
Mark and Judy Ellman, who owned the memorable
Avalon Restaurant some years ago, gutted a
small restaurant space on the water near Mala Wharf and created a sophisticated,
light-filled restaurant/bar. A menu statement explains the concept: small plates, organic
whenever possible, whole grains, no preservatives, no hydrogenated oils and everything in
proportion.
Lisa Chappel
Lisa is the General Manager of Mala Ocean Tavern inLahaina and has been with us since day one.
She is responsible for our floor staff and the service and bar at Mala.
She handles private parties wedding rehearsal dinners and buyouts.
She is usually the first person you see when you walk into Mala at night, and she will escort you to your table.
Lisa knows everyone on Maui and I think everyone who meets her will be very impressed by this very smart and savy and beautiful woman.
Lisa has been in the business for most of her life.
She is a consummate pro who really knows how to run a world class establishment.
